Organization: Sam's Club @ Walmart Inc.
Product: Sam's Club Mobile App
Methods: Usability Testing
Tools: Figma, Userzoom, Miro
The Context...
The design and product team have decided to reorder the information architecture and the visual architecture. This is to ensure a better navigation experience for consumers as the current module has been experiencing a low engagement rate. Designers have explored different ways of re-arranging the content and want to know which shall continue to work.
The Approach...
Inquiry gathering: I set up meeting and talked with stakeholders to understand the upper needs that drive such design decisions and the project scope(time and resources). This also helps to further determine my research plan.
Unmoderated testing using UserZoom.com: Upon knowing the full picture, I listed and aligned with the rest of the team for research goals and the approach/data I needed to meet the goals. I designed and set up the test via Userzoom.
Data Analysis: Mainly qualitative with quantitative analysis as a supplement.
Visualize the results using charts, quotes, and informative statements: Represent the readout with both high-level insights and specific actionable next steps to the team, including designers, relevant PMS, and the director of UX.
